Last week, D. Walker, 59, a former softball coach at Lake Dallas High School pleaded guilty to having an inappropriate relationship with a female student at the school.

In August of 2015, Walker was arrested and charged with improper relationship between an educator and a student.

The incident occurred in November 2013, while the female victim was attending Lake Dallas High School. She told investigators that she built a trusting relationship with Walker and that the pair would exchange text messages, nearly 2,000 texts reported the Denton Record Chronicle.

According to the affidavit, the teacher got cozy with the girl sometime during her ninth or tenth grade year. The texts heated up sometime after August 2013 when Walker texted the girl, "my wife's not home."

In an interview with the police, the girl told investigators that Walker told her to delete his texts. On Nov. 4, 2013, after the girl watched a soccer game from the parking lot, he sent her a text asking what she was doing, and one said, "I'm going to swing by."

Phone records obtained by the police discovered 1,691 texts between Walker and the student between August and September of 2013. In November 2013, Walker allegedly had intercourse with the girl, the Denton Record Chronicle reported.
